What do you do when your mother divorces your father, then remarries a devout follower of “that religion,” who takes you door-knocking at 7 o’clock in the morning? You escape and move in with dear old dad of course. Problem solved. Until you discover your real pop is a real pimp...for real. East 14th: True Tales of a Reluctant Player is the hysterical one-man show chronicling Don Reed's true coming-of-age story in 1970s Oakland. From being forced to deliver the gospel door to door, to living on "Ho Row", Don Reed takes you down a road you'll never forget. At times moving and poignant, but always funny to the core, East 14th: True Tales of a Reluctant Player will make you laugh until you cry, and then laugh all over again.

The year
is 1933. Ben Wilcott has traveled back in time from 2115 to warn the world
of an impending alien invasion. Ben solicits the help of Pulitzer Prize-winning
reporter Molly Sloan and her assistant Timmy Mendez. Together they travel
across Europe, to one of the moons of Jupiter, and ultimately to another
galaxy to help save the world from impending doom. Along the way they
battle the sinister mesmerist Mysterion, befriend the inhabitants of a
Robot Planet, and, finally, confront the hideous sludge monsters from
the planet Zygon. It's Star Wars meets Raiders of the Lost Ark with a
little of The Incredibles thrown in for good measure. And it's a rollicking
good time.

Deathbed eloquently paints a landscape of longing and desperation as its characters struggle to come to terms with loss and suffering. Martha has cancer and demands attention; Danny doesn't want to deal; Thomas would rather forget; Steven loves too much; Susan feels betrayed; Martin is confused and Ian wants to know what death is really like. Funny and deeply touching, Deathbed explores the boundaries of human compassion in the midst of personal suffering. Is it wise to embrace one’s vulnerability and face death head-on? Or is it better to just to read a book and have a sandwich?

Johann Gutenberg
invented the printing press in 1450, so aspiring playwrights Bud and Doug
naturally wrote a great big musical about him. In this acclaimed musical
spoof, you attend Bud and Doug's backers' audition, in which they present
their historical epic - performing all 30 roles - in the hopes of finding
a producer that will make their ill-advised dreams of Broadway success
come true.

Since then, the Festival has introduced musical theatre producers to 170 musicals and 300 writers from around the world. More than three-fourths of these shows have gone on to subsequent productions and tours, been printed in publishers' catalogues, and recorded on cast albums.
